Decorating for Spring 2021 Using Bone China Flowers
Each year it's fun to decorate for spring. Fresh tulips in a vase brings spring colors. Porcelain pink china flowers made from a bone china factory adds pastel colors.
Especially if there is pink tissue to play with.
I experiment with layering by adding a cake plate for depth.
The pink tissue added a backdrop of pink. First I added pink roses that were really napkin ring holders.
Later I took them away to see if it was more soft.
Pulling out items from my display cabinets saves me a trip to the store. I have a collection of china flowers that my mother and I would hunt for at antique malls.
Lit candles add warmth.
I think I like the display better without the hot pink roses.
To Christians the egg is symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ representing His emergence from the tomb.
I've been collecting eggs for their beauty. Different cultures all over the world love to collect eggs.
The first Christians from Mesopotamia died their eggs red in memory of the blood of Christ who died on the cross. Eastern European countries use wax resistant batik to create designs by writing with beeswax.
Easter is a time for families to have dinner.
I like to use my placemats of blue that say Peace and Blessed.
Each place setting has a piece of bone China Flowers to bring memories of my mom's Easter dinner.
Nature inspires spring colors of red, pink, yellow and green.
