Texas Garden in May Brings Joy 2026

Texas Garden in May brings joy to the senses.  French gardens inspire Texans to plant their own space of beauty.  Climbing roses in France climb stone walls.

Peach roses grow under a large Oak Tree.  I trimmed the tree and now it gets plenty of sunlight.  Roses need at least six hours.
We got a new fence so I was thinking the trumpet vine was gone.  But its growing by the side of the yard from the Crepe Myrtle Tree.  It's fun watching bees sip nectar.
I planted the Day Lily last year.  It came up this spring with a beautiful pink and orange color.
The Passion Flower rose bush I planted two years ago is finally taking off.  The roses are a vibrant red.

Bounty from the vegetables come in refreshing colors.  I love to place them on an aqua plate and take a photograph for record keeping.

Zuchinni grows great in a container.  You do need to water it more often.
Okra flowers bring joy to the Texas Garden.  Some okra is the color of red.

Tomatoes are delicious growing on a vine.

It's fun to put roses in a fun vase.  Just add water and it lasts for days.

I plant jalapeno, peppers all over the Texas Garden because they are perfect for Tortilla Soup.

Bunnies don't eat Begonias, so I put lots of pink begonias in pots.  Bunnies don't like the taste of the waxy leaves.
Herbs mixed with roses bring joy.
Gardens bring hope as nature grows right before my eyes.  So if you can't travel to France you can bring a piece of it to your own backyard.

It's amazing how each rose has delicate petals.  They are a symbol of peace and hope.
