Antique French Country Pillow

I love this French Country Antique PILLOW because my mother had it in her living room.  She inherited the pillow from her Aunt Grace Hon.  Since her dad died at age 2 years old she was very close to his sister.  I remember going to Aunt Grace's home for tea with her best china.  My mom added tassels to the pillow.

I put the pillow in our living room on a soft chair with arms for comfortable seating.  It makes me happy every time I see my mom's pillow.  Keeping momentos from loved ones makes your home warm and inviting.

Here are photographs of my mom I can look at to remember her sweetness.

French Country Garden in Texas

Creating a soothing oasis is the essence of a French Country Garden.  Growing vegetables can be a part of the beauty of the landscape.  Flowers and squash can grow side by side as they help each other.  Growing plants to add beauty and food for your family is a joy each day.

The landscape of Provence in the south of France reveal shades of: yellow, lavender, purple, pink, and sky blue.  I like to weave these colors in our garden to remind us of the beauty of France.   French can create divine dishes from their herb and vegetable gardens.

Finding a new bell pepper is a joy to the senses.  It is a gift to provide for your table.

Lime shades of green reflect with the light.
A French Country Garden attracts all kinds of wildlife.
A Carolina Wren enjoys the French Country bird cage.
The Wren is ready to fly from the French Counry chairs.

Iron work of intricate roses provide comfortable seating for guests.
Creating a pot of purple heart with purple flowers from cuttings is soothing.  It is July now and the pot of small cuttings from March filled the pot with purple color for free.  I planted Purple Vinca to add color.  Love the pot from the country side of China.
Growing Jalepeno Peppers is easy in the Texas heat.
I added to the place of growing vegetables by purchasing more pots.

I love just sitting in the chair with cool shade to observe nature in action.
Each rose that blooms naturally is a burst of pink.
The oak barrel was a pot I purchased because the natural wood allows for the plants to breath.
The Pot Marigold is a fantastic companion flower to the squash because it adds color and the ordor keeps away unwanted insects.
I'm growing eggplant, more peppers and bush beans in these three pots.
Mint needs alot of water but it is place beside our chairs because it keeps away insects.
Love to check on our plants each day to see how large the leaves are growing.

Picked these Banana Peppers to saute with olice oil and basil chicken.

Each planter brings forth purple growth.  Love to admire the harvest on the table.
In Texas, pools are quite common because of the 100 degree heat in July.  You can hear the sound of children jumping off  diving boards to cool off with sounds of laughter as they splash.
To admire the harvest I decided to create still life photographs.
I found a pepper dish from our travels to Spain.
I tried to use a wooden pole to support the plants.
These squash are getting yellow flowers.  It is a sign squash is coming soon.
Love the color combination of pink and purple.

Squirrels are attracted to the cool water on a hot summer day.

As the light moves with the setting of the sun the colors change too.
Vegetables need six hours of sunlight.
Beauty can be found in the orange and pink colors of the trumpet vine flower that fell into the pool.  It floats gracefully in the water as the once flower reflects it's beauty.
Tomatoe plants also like the bright sun.
The light gently touches the Crookneck Squash as the flower radiates yellow warmth.
A tiny bell pepper is forming.  It looks like the seed coat is faintly showing.
The eggplant gives a lovely lavender color flower.

An eggplant is growing with a dark purple color.
The white butterfly helped to polinate.

Love to watch little peppers grow from white flowers.
Purple pots are lines in a neat row so the rug is firmly in place.

The tree we planted twenty years ago overhangs the pool with long branches.

The vegetation is home to many kinds of birds.
Cardinals love to sing their song.
 Mourning Doves say hello.

Insects buzz with flapping wings.
Each part of the French Country Garden is magical because it shows the rebirth of photosyntheses.
Flowers attract bees and butterflies for polination.
Start your own garden and you will enjoy the beauty of harvest.

Find bird cages birds will love.
The Carolina Wren likes to rock on the Butterfly chime.

The French Country Garden is a happy place.
